- Issue:
- Ventilation to and from the dryer is insufficient (e.g in a small room). This could cause the room temperature to rise rapidly. The ventilation grille under the door is blocked. The appliance cannot expel the air properly. The laundry was not sufficiently spun and is still too damp.
- Advice:
- Open a door or window while the machine is in operation for increased air flow. Remove any objects blocking the ventilation grille below the door. Clean the fluff filters in the door and door fill ring. Clean the heat exchanger. Make sure that your laundry is thoroughly spun at a high spin speed in a washing machine before drying.

The 'Clean airways' indicator comes on

- The fluff filters are clogged. Condenser dryer - The heat exchanger is clogged. Vented dryer - Ducting is blocked or kinked.
- Advice:
- Clean the fluff filters in accordance with the operating instructions. Clean the heat exchanger in accordance with the operating instructions. Check the heat exchanger at least twice a year and clean it if necessary. If the dryer is used frequently then clean the heat exchanger after approx. 100 drying cycles. Check the ducting for blockages and kinks.

- The condensed water container is full.
- Advice:
- Please switch off the tumble dryer with the 'I-ON/0-OFF' button and empty out the condensed water container. Replace the condensed water container back into the tumble dryer.
Locked
The 'Locked' indicator flashes when the machine is switched on
- Issue:
- The system lock is activated. The programme cannot be started.
- Advice:
- To deactivate the system lock:
- 1 The door is closed and the programme selector is turned to 'Finish'.
- 2 Switch the appliance on.
- 3 Press and hold the 'Anti-crease action' button during step 4 to 6.
- 4 Slowly turn the programme selector clockwise stage by stage until it reaches the 'Cottons/Normal dry' position.
- 5 Slowly turn the programme selector anti-clockwise stage by stage until it reaches the 'Finish' position.
- 6 Slowly turn the programme selector anti-clockwise stage by stage until it reaches the 'Minimum iron/Hand iron' position. The “Locked” indicator light flashes.
- 7 Release the 'Anti-crease' button. The system lock is deactivated.

- To much resistance in the exhaust ducting. The fluff filter is blocked. Load size capacity exceeded. The filters, heat exchanger and condensate container are blocked or soiled. The ducting is blocked.

- Ensure that the exhaust duct has a minimum diameter of 100 mm and a maximum length of 20 m. Note that each elbow will reduce the maximum permitted length by 1 m. For further details please refer to the operating instructions. Clean the fluff filter in accordance with the operating instructions. In order to achieved the desired drying results, check the Operating Instructions for the maximum load size for the programme selected. We recommend that you clean the filters, heat exchanger and condensate container in accordance with the operating instructions. Disconnect the ducting and remove the blockage.
