Please do take care to read the information thoroughly as it is there to help you understand fault codes and to keep you safe. There are also some help, tips and hints with a lot of the fault codes published here that you usually will not find anywhere else and, as we learn, we add more information so if you can't find what you need please ask in the forums.
Before using this section please understand that fault or error codes are used as a diagnostic aid, they are not a replacement for diagnostic skill on the part of the person repairing the product and are not in any way usually going to point to the precise component that is faulty. All they do is give you an idea of where to start looking for the fault.

F1
Connection to temperature sensor either open or short circuit
- Issue:
- The fault code is displayed, if the connection to the temperature sensor is open or if there is a short circuit between the two terminals of the sensor.
The wash program will be cancelled without heating.
The failure will be displayed at the end of the wash program. - Advice:
- Check wiring to thermistor and connections on PCB
- Check thermistor
F2
Water level not reached
- Issue:
- This faut code is displayed, if within an filling or heating step the water level is below level 1 for 4 minutes.
If the filling step is shorter than 4 minutes, the code will not be set.
If the failure occured the first time within a washing program, the current step will be started again. If the the failure occured the second time, the washing program is stopped, and the fault code will be displayed.
To continue the washing program, the owner has to press the Start button.
If the failure occured the third time, the washing program is stopped, the failure will be displayed, and it is not possible to start the washing machine again. - Advice:
- Check water supply
- Check for a leak in the machine
- Check water valve
- Check wiring
- Check connections to water valve and PCB
F31
Motor tacho detected open or short circuit
- Issue:
- A washing program is active and the motor control unit gets no signal from the tacho generator. The washing machine is stopped immediately and the failure is displayed.
- Advice:
- Check motor tacho wiring
- Check motor connection block
- Check PCB connections
- Replace motor
F32
Motor triac or IGBT short circuit
- Issue:
- The fault code is displayed, if the washing program is active and the motor is working without control of triac or IGBT. The washing machine is stopped immediately and the failure is displayed.
- Advice:
- Check motor tacho wiring
- Check motor connection block
- Check PCB connections
- Replace PCB
F4
Water temperature not reached
- Issue:
- Error code displayed if after a heating step the temperature is more than 15°C lower than the rated or set temperature. The washing program will be ended normally. The error code is displayed at the end of the washing program.
- Advice:
- Check heater connections
- Check PCB connections
- Check wash heater element for continuity
- Check thermostats or thermistors
F41
Water overheat error
- Issue:
- Error code displayed if the washing program is active and the water temperature is 7°C higher than the maximum rated temperature of the washing program selected. The washing machine will be stopped immediately and the fault code will be displayed.
- Advice:
- Check wiring to thermostat or thermistor
- Check wash thermostat or thermistor
- Check heater relay on PCB
F43
Water heating error
- Issue:
- Fault code displayed if the temperature gradient within a heating step is higher than about 9°C in a minute.
- In a time of one minute, the temperature is measured and the corresponding gradient related to the last measurement is calculated.
- If the failure happens, the washing machine is stopped immediately and the failure will displayed.
- Ordinarily this would be caused by the washing machine attempting to heat with no water in it.
- Advice:
- Check pressure sensor wiring and connections
- Check PCB connections for pressure sensor
F5
Failure to drain water
- Issue:
- If after a drain section of the wash program the water level did not fall below level one then this fault code will be displayed.
If the failure to empty occured the first time within a program, the drain step will started again.
If the failure occurs a second time, the washing machine is stopped and the fault code is displayed.
To continue the wash program, the user has to press the Start button.
If the failure occurs for a third time, the wash program is stopped and the failure is displayed. At this point is not possible to start the washing program again until the problem is rectified. - Advice:
- Check drain filter for blockage
- Check drain pump for blockage
- Check drain pump wiring
- Check drian pump for continuity
- Check drain pump connections on PCB
F61
Motor field relay not switched
- Issue:
- This error code is displayed at the end of the spinning cycle or the test program if the spin is more than 100rpm lower than the rated speed. The error code is displayed after the end of the testing program.
- Advice:
- Check the motor connections
- Check tacho coil and magnet for damage
- Check PCB
F63
Communications error
- Issue:
- No communication with the chopper unit for 10 transmissions. The washing machine is stopped immediately and the failure is displayed.
- Advice:
- Check wiring between PCBs
- Replace faulty PCB
