Established in 1883 as a metalworking company in Germany, Blomberg started production of washing machines in 1949. Today, Blomberg is recognised as a German quality brand. Blomberg offers a full range of household appliances and hot water equipment.

In 2006 Blomberg products were introduced to the American market for the first time. Our American product range currently consists of our new line of dishwashers, but will expand to include the whole range in the future.

Blomberg was acquired by Arcelik A.S. in 2002, the owners of Beko and it appears that some of the appliances that have been introduced are more Arcelik than Blomberg.

That said, the washing machines in particular were very good indeed as they were produced in Germany, what the current range is like is unknown as they have not been sold in the UK in any quantity as yet to be able to say for sure. But, with being under the ownership of Beko now we effectively see Beko products with a Blomberg badge stuck on them now.

To our knowledge Blomberg were sold almost exclusively in the UK by Comet until a few years ago when sales ceased. Since then, again to our knowledge, the brand has not been sold in the UK until the reintroduction of the brand by Beko.

During 2011/2012 we started to see the Blomberg brand resurrected and being used almost exclusively for independent Euronics retailers, primarily CIH Group members as a more premium alternative to the standard Beko machines. In essence this is mostly a cosmetic exercise, teh machines are not re-engineered for sale under the Blomberg brand.
