re. Neff Combi Oven HFT879 / H7871NOGB/03
The above oven has failed. There was a bang about 2 seconds after the microwave oven was started and the Consumer Unit circuit breaker tripped. There was a residual smell of burning. The circuit breaker has been reset and when power is re-connected to the oven the LED display lights up initially but then fades after about 10 seconds and then remains very dim. The rest of the oven functions no longer work. I have noticed that several people online have experienced exactly the same symptoms, so I assume this is a known fault with this oven.
With your wide experience of oven repairs, what do you think is the most likely component to have failed based on these symptoms, and what would be the estimated cost for repair?
