LG Washing Machine tE Error Code indicates a HEATING SENSOR ERROR.
BEFORE REPLACING ANY PARTS OR DISASSEMBLING YOUR LG Washing machine TRY THIS QUICK TIP TO CLEAR THE tE ERROR CODE:β¨
1 β Remove the Washing machine from Power for 30 Seconds.β¨
2 β Resupply Power to the LG Washing Machine and Press the POWER BUTTON.
β¨3 β Press the SPIN SPEED button until βNO SPINβ is highlighted.
β¨4 β When the Washer has Fully Drained out the Water β Restart the Washing Cycle.β¨
5 β This may Reset the LG Washing machine and Clear the tE Error Code
The 2 parts that will cause the tE error code on your LG Washing machine are:
β¨1 β The DRUM THERMISTOR IS FAULTY or has LOOSE WIRING.β¨
2 β The HEATING ELEMENT IS FAULTY or has LOOSE WIRES.
To fix your LG Washing machine and clear the tE error code:
CHECK DRUM THERMISTOR FOR LOOSE WIRING:
β¨1 β Unplug the LG Washing Machine From Power.β¨
2 β Check the Wire Connections on the Drum Thermistor. (AKA = Temperature Sensor)β¨
3 β Reconnect The Wires Going To and From The Drum Thermistor If Loose.β¨
TEST THE WASHER AND SEE IF THE LOOSE WIRING CONNECTION ON THE DRUM THERMISTOR WAS THE ISSUE. IF ERROR CODE tE PERSISTS.
CHECK DRUM THERMISTOR FOR PROPER MEASUREMENT OF RESISTANCE/OHMS:β¨
1 β Check the Resistance of the Drum Thermistor using a Multi-Meter/Ohms Meter.
β¨2 β The Resistance Will Measure About 40000 Ohms at 85F.β¨
3 β If the Resistance Is Not 40000 Ohms then the Drum Thermistor is Faulty and needs to be Replaced.
β¨AFTER REPLACING THE DRUM THERMISTOR β TEST THE WASHER TO BE SURE THE tE ERROR CODE IS CLEARED AND ISSUE IS FIXED. IF ERROR CODE tE PERSISTS.
