FA

The Water is leaking from the device.

Issue:
A possible reason is that in the base pan of water is. It does not matter why there is water. The error appears because there is water, without giving information on the exact cause. The error can also occur when the switch is jammed for some reason or because it is stored in the electronics, although the reason is eliminated long ago. For a possible cause of research, it is good if you are aware of other messages. F2 means that the water stop was triggered, which indicates an error in the inlet hose, F4 indicates a problem down the sewer.
Advice:
  • In the event that the error is only accidentally created and saved, you should press the START button until the display goes out. Close the door of Bauknecht freshener. Now the machine drains and is ready for the restart. When the error was triggered accidentally, it may be sufficient to allow the dishwasher goes again.
  • If this is not enough, you can try to remove by tilting the device, the water from the bottom tray. Sometimes you need to remove them in order to empty it. Thereafter, the Bauknecht dishwasher would start up again without re-display FA. If it was just a one-time event, which has led to the accumulation of water, the device is now in order.
  • If you find that the well is dry, but the display still appears, then it means either the Styrofoam under the switch or the switch is stuck. Maybe it has to be replaced.
  • Quite often, the problem is a clogged drain. The pump can not squeeze out the water against the resistance. Test whether the dishwasher is running properly when the water is collected in a trough. If so, it is at the issue.
  • Make sure when the next wash cycles on whether there are indications regarding the water stops or that the indicator of problems appear when pumping. Possible causes of water in the bottom pan may arise or when it is bent by leaks in the drain hose. Look out for these signs. If the display FA appears again, there must be a trigger that causes repeatedly accumulated water in the bottom pan. It could even be that the machine itself is leaking. If you no simple trigger, such as finding a dripping drain hose, you must consult a professional.

F6

F6 is listed as a filling fault.

Issue:
  • Water tap closed
  • Water inlet hose blocked
  • Water inlet valve defective
  • Flow meter defective
Advice:
The flow meter is a part within the metering tank on the left side of the appliance. (Large plastic tank). If the machine is taking in water, try unplugging the 2 wire connection on the tank and plugging it back on a few times to clean the connection up. If it's not taking in water, test that water actually comes through the hose. If it does, test the inlet valve is ok and that it's being supplied with power. The only other parts involved are wiring and the control. If the fault persists, please arrange an engineer visit. F4

F4 points at at a drain problem

Issue:
F4 points at at a drain problem, often the problem is caused by a dirty or defective pressure switch. Before replacing the pressure switch it is necessary to test the drain system.
Advice:
First try turning power off from circuit breaker for few minutes and see if that is enough to clear the error code. Turn power off from circuit breaker (or disconnect power cord) and clean the drain well inside the tub. Remove any water present in the tum. Check also the drain hose at the back of the appliance and make sure it is not kinked or blocked. If that does not work remove the kick panel at the base of the dishwasher, locate the pressure switch and clean the hose connected to the pressure switch. The pressure switch is the device that detects water level, determining when to start and stop the drain pump. The pressure switch is a small plastic switch connected to a long rubber hose. If the hose gets blocked with detergent or if the switch is defective you get F4.
Resuming:
  • Try resetting the appliance to clear the error code.
  • If that does not work clean and check the drain system.
  • If still no luck check the pressure switch.
  • Disconnect power before doing any maintenance.
