SAMSUNG WASHER FAULT CODES: NF2 or 4E2 or 4C2
SAMSUNG WASHER ERROR DEFINITION = washer filling with very hot water
This error is displayed when the washer is filling up with very hot water. It is in place to protect delicate fabric that can be damaged by very hot water.
HOW TO REPAIR/CLEAR ERROR?: This error is usually caused by the inlet supply hoses being backwards. The hot water supply hose is running into the cold water inlet valve on the back of the washer. The cold water supply hose is running into the hot water inlet valve. As soon as the unit detects the temperature is too high, it will stop and drain. It will then try to fill again. Check water hoses and switch the hoses to the correct water valves.

Ok, but what else can cause a 4C2 error code? I ran a load of delicates (cold water) right after a self cleaning cycle, and I got a 4C2 error code. The machine had been working fine before the self cleaning cycle. Obviously, the hot and cold hoses hadn’t been touched, although I checked them and cleaned the filters, just in case. It didn’t help. I’m still getting the error code. I’ll call a service tech Monday, unless I can fix it before then, which is looking unlikely. TIA.

I've checked my hoses and they are attached correctly. The washer has worked fine for about a year. Today I had delicates in and got this error (4C2). The water was indeed very hot, but, as I said, the hoses are in the correct places. Is there anything else this might be?

I run my water heater a bit high so on delicate cycle it’s too hot and will read this code. You need to change the water temp on the washer cycle Manually to cold
