My wife's washing machine keeps giving a water inlet fault even though I've cleaned the little filter on the inlet hose. Can see no other fault but machine won't operate.

Question

Water inlet fault keeps coming up and washing machine then immediately empties itself of water that has been taken in. No other signs or symptoms. Inlet filter is clean.
