Hi,
I have a Bosch electric oven HBN5605 about 14 years old but mostly used in summer only. It's started smoking recently when first turned on. On investigation I've noticed that the grill element is coming on when the conventional oven/conventional baking settings are used. It doesn't come on when fan oven is selected.
Any ideas on what the problem is? I've fixed my Bosch dishwasher several times so happy to DIY the repair.

I have a Bosch single oven, only about a year old and the same thing is happening. Is this just cost cutting on all newer ovens?
I’m sure this wasn’t the case with my previous Candy oven.
Trouble is you start grilling and burning things that you want to cook.
Does the grill cut out after oven reaches temperature?
