When my redfyre needed a service the engineer told me that you can no longer get parts for the Redfyre range. Is this true? I have a Redfyre gas boiler/range. Luckily it didn't need anything more than a clean out of the filters this time. But should I be looking at getting rid of it?
Sadly this is so. I ran into the same problem a few months ago when I managed to break the ceramic hob on my Warmfront. It is an unsung disgrace: Gazco made Redfyre stoves they claimed would "last a lifetime" and sold the brand (for something derisory - I think it was about half a million) to Aga, which fairly promptly stopped making them and their parts.

So much for lasting a lifetime. And so much for the opportunity to own a modern, efficient electric cooker with the construction , solidity, look and feel of a traditional range. I will never buy an inefficient, gas guzzling Aga, Rayburn or Mercury or a modern but naff-looking Range Master cooker or the product of any other company that despicable edifice might consume next!

I hope you have got a suitable replacement, by the way. If it's any use at this point, I will be looking to Everhot or Esse for a replacement for mine, but need to do some more research as to the continuing availability of parts.
