Hi,

I have a Rangemaster RSXS15 fridge/freezer serial number 10817000022 that has an issue with the fridge side overshooting.

After speaking with Rangemaster technical they didn't seem too knowledgable on the appliance and came to the conclusion that the R1 thermistor was faulty.

I have since replaced this thermistor and the unit is still reaching minus temperatures in the fridge compartment.

I know there is a trapdoor type mechanism that opens when the fridge requires cooling and I have seen this part operate so i'm pretty confident that this is also not the issue.

When the appliance is running occasionally the display on the controller shows R1, R2, R3, R4 the reverts back to the normal display, I can also hear the compressor shutting off and restarting when this happens also.

The fact that the unit is reaching -18 on the freezer side I can only assume the refrigeration circuit is working as it should.

Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated as we are based on a remote island and getting a Rangemaster technician to visit would not be cost effective.

Many Thanks,

Ben.
