F2 fault code on miele fridge freezer it doesn't seem to defrost much any more but temperature is ok

My miele fridge freezer is 26 years old and a f2 fault code shows occasionally it's keeping it's temperature ok but only seemed to defrost after a week when it usually defrosts regula RT ly
