Scholtes FN 36 XA model temperature knob disconnected.

The temperature knob on the oven appears to be disconnected from the interior mechanism or at least non-functional. Though you can start the oven at one of the 5 the preset temperatures, there is no way to adjust or set a custom temperature.

Any ideas on how to fix this or a hack around it?
